Description
The position of Foreman - Sewer and Watermain involves the supervision and coordination of work related to the construction, repair and maintenance of sewer networks, aqueducts and earthworks. This role plays a crucial role in the effective management of construction sites and the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
• Plan, supervise, coordinate and organize work to carry out waterworks, sewer and earthworks projects.
• Plan daily activities on construction sites, including the allocation of necessary human, material and financial resources.
• Organize work teams and subcontractors to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.
• Supervise field work teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Give clear and precise instructions to workers and subcontractors to ensure the efficient progress of the work.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is completed according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Identify and correct construction defects or non-conformities as soon as they are detected.
• Manage material resources such as heavy equipment, construction materials and supplies.
• Supervise the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients and municipal authorities to ensure optimal coordination of work.
• Report regularly on the progress of the work and the problems encountered.
• Monitor training for workers.
• Monitor work by writing production reports.

Requirements
• Hold a general health and safety training card on construction sites
• Previous experience as a foreman in the field of sewer, waterworks and earthworks, an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques for sewer and aqueduct networks, as well as earthworks.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical specifications.
• Have a strong ability to work according to deadlines.
• Have great ability to work in a team.
• Have good adaptability.
• Have a developed sense of autonomy.
• Good leadership, time management and problem solving skills.
