Description
The Human Resources Coordinator - Construction Site is responsible for coordinating and supporting activities related to human resources management on construction sites. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, as well as fostering a safe, inclusive and productive work environment for all employees on site.
It plays a crucial role in the effective management of human resources within the company, ensuring compliance with policies, regulatory compliance and the well-being of employees on construction sites.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the recruitment process for management and site personnel.
• Plan and coordinate orientation sessions for new employees based on procedures in place.
• Manage and validate hiring documents.
• Organize and facilitate onboarding programs for new employees assigned to job sites, ensuring they receive adequate training on safety policies, company procedures and performance expectations.
• Carry out follow-ups related to the new employee's probation period.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns on job sites, providing appropriate support and guidance to resolve human resources issues.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve potential or existing conflicts between team members on job sites, using conflict resolution techniques and promoting a respectful and collaborative work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify training and development needs of employees on job sites, and coordinate the implementation of relevant training programs.
• Work closely with the company's health and safety department to promote and enforce safe practices on construction sites, conducting regular inspections and ensuring that personal protective equipment is available and used correctly.
• Advise and support managers in matters of discipline, performance management, remuneration, talent management and any other HRM process.
• Act as a field resource person for labor relations.
• Ensure the application of laws and regulations.
• Define and ensure the application of company policies.
Requirements
• Degree in human resources, administration or similar diploma.
• Experience in a similar position, an important asset.
• Great computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Good sense of interpersonal relations.
• Enjoy working in a team.
• Good adaptability, being able to accomplish various simultaneous tasks in a developing environment (change of computer systems).
• Good sense of initiative, autonomous in his tasks.
• Demonstrate professional rigor, thoroughness and confidentiality.
