Job Description

Our client is a leading heavy construction contractor in Alberta with over 50 years of expertise in civil earthworks, grading, utilities, mine operations and aggregate extraction.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Finish Excavator Operator to perform precision stripping, ditching, sloping and leveling on major earth-works projects. You’ll work closely with ground personnel and other equipment operators, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Operate excavator to complete finish grading tasks (stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling)Safely work in proximity to ground crews and additional machinery
  •  Champion site safety: follow, enforce and promote all safety protocols
  •  Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly


Qualifications & Requirements
  •  3–5 years’ experience operating excavators, with proven finish-work ability
  •  Physically fit and able to perform in demanding outdoor conditions
  •  Reliable, hard-working and flexible with shift schedules
  •  Personal reliable vehicle for site access
  •  CSA-approved steel-toe boots with 6″ ankle support


Pre-employment Conditions

  •  Successful completion of company orientation and site-specific safety briefing
