Description
The Service Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and customer satisfaction within the service department. As a key point of contact for clients, they ensure that requests and issues are handled efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with the company's standards. This role requires skills in customer management, team coordination, and adherence to service procedures. The Service Coordinator also ensures that the department's performance objectives are met and contributes to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide appropriate recommendations to resolve their issues, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Review and validate work orders before billing to ensure accuracy of information and costs.
• Manage dissatisfied clients, take necessary actions to resolve issues, and ensure the satisfaction of each customer.
• Ensure compliance with the company's ethical regulations and procedures in all interactions and operations within the service department.
• Oversee warranty processes and manage service requests, ensuring that commitments are met.
• Monitor inventory and manage parts orders to ensure the availability of necessary resources for service interventions.
• Achieve and, if possible, exceed the performance objectives established for the service department.
• Coordinate human resources within the service department, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and team development.
• Make occasional site visits to assess needs, supervise interventions, or provide direct support to teams.
Requirements
• Degree in administration, management, or a field related to construction. Training in customer relationship management or project coordination is an asset.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry or in a customer service environment.
• Basic knowledge of equipment and processes used in construction (building, civil engineering, building mechanics, or energy).
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills, with the ability to handle tense situations and resolve issues.
• Ability to manage inventory, organize orders, and coordinate human resources to ensure effective service.
• Understanding of billing, warranty processes, and administrative document management.
• Ability to lead a service team, manage schedules, and motivate employees to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize urgent matters, and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to make occasional site visits.
