Description
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you play an essential role in supporting civil construction and engineering projects. You are responsible for providing technical support to engineers and contributing to the efficient completion of projects, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Assist engineers in planning, designing, and implementing civil engineering projects.
• Perform calculations and technical analyses to assess project feasibility and identify appropriate solutions.
• Conduct field surveys to gather topographic and geotechnical data necessary for project planning.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce technical drawings, construction plans, and 3D models.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop efficient and innovative design solutions.
• Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Identify potential issues and propose corrective measures to ensure project quality and safety.
Requirements
• Degree in civil engineering technology or a related field.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in construction or engineering, is an asset.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic principles of geotechnics, hydraulics, and construction materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
