Description
The Civil Foreman (electrical projects) plays a key role in project supervision and coordination. He may work for a company in the electrical field specializing in civil works projects, building electricity, energy distribution and telecommunications.
The foreman must carry out excavation, formwork, concreting and backfilling work with his team for high and medium voltage electrical transformation installations.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the planning, coordination and distribution of work relating to your work team, in collaboration with the superintendent and the project manager.
• Validate the work sequences with the client.
• Order materials (stone-sand-concrete, etc.).
• Note the materials that may be required during the electrical part and send to the project manager.
• Supervise team members as well as work carried out in collaboration with the company when required.
• Participate in the evaluation of the required needs in labor, machinery, equipment and others with regard to the work to be carried out.
• Ensure compliance with agreed deadlines.
• Communicate to your superior the gaps in productivity and quality in relation to the requirements of the work requested and collaborate on solutions.
• Ensure optimal performance of the staff he coordinates and report any problem cases to his superior.
• Write daily activity reports and report any anomalies to your superior.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety measures in accordance with laws and policies in force, participate in and/or write risk analyzes and safety analyzes of tasks and hold safety breaks at regular intervals.
• See to the training of new employees if required.

Requirements
• Valid certification.
• Experience in the civil engineering sector.
• Good ability to manage time and priorities.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role on construction sites, an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage priorities on a construction site.
• Good verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
