Description
The Electrician Foreman plays a key role in supervising and coordinating electrical activities on construction sites. He is responsible for leading a team of electricians, ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians on site.
• Ensure the planning and organization of work to meet project deadlines.
• Distribute tasks and assign responsibilities to team members.
• Ensure that electrical work is carried out in accordance with plans, specifications and standards in force.
• Carry out regular inspections to guarantee the quality and conformity of electrical installations.
• Coordinate activities with other trades on the site to ensure efficient progress of the work.
• Manage supplies of materials and equipment necessary for electrical work.
• Supervise compliance with safety standards on site and implement corrective measures in the event of non-compliance.
• Train and supervise team members, and provide technical support when necessary.
• Communicate regularly with site supervisors and project managers to report on work progress and resolve potential issues.
Requirements
• Degree in electricity or a related field.
• Valid certification as an electrician.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role on construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
• Strong technical skills in electrical installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage priorities on a construction site.
• Good verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment.
• Strong sense of leadership and work organization.
