Description
The Glazing Site Foreman works within a company specializing in glazing work for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects. As a team leader, he is responsible for supervising and coordinating work on glazing sites while actively contributing to the installation, repair and modification of glazing elements.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate work teams on glazing sites, ensuring that tasks are completed according to specifications, quality standards and deadlines.
• Install and repair glass products or any other similar work made of metals or substitute materials (secondary to glass), such as different types of windows and frames, spandrel panels, ornamental or decorative objects, prefabricated coverings, curtain walls (prefabricated or not), doors, windows, garage doors, storefronts or similar works made of metal sheets or moldings.
• Plan labor, materials and equipment requirements for each project, in collaboration with company management.
• Monitor the progress of the work and resolve problems encountered on the site, in coordination with the teams and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that safety standards are respected at all times on construction sites, by providing training and applying the necessary preventive measures.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure glazing needs and expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate reporting of site activities, including labor hours, materials used and problems encountered, to enable effective evaluation of performance and costs.
• Train and supervise team members to promote their professional development and improve their glazing skills.
Requirements
• Degree in installation and manufacturing of glass products, or equivalent experience in the field of glazing.
• Hold a valid certification for your occupation.
• Certification in health and safety on construction sites.
• Significant experience as a glazier, with in-depth knowledge of installation, repair and modification techniques for glazed elements.
• Previous experience in supervision or team management, preferably in the construction or glazing sector.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to working at height and handling glass.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams and technical specifications related to glazing.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to job sites according to business needs.
• Commitment to excellence in customer service and the quality of the work accomplished.
