Description
The Prefabricated Construction Laborer plays a vital role in the production of components and structures used in construction projects. Under the supervision of production managers, they perform various manual and technical tasks to support operations, such as preparing materials, cleaning parts, packaging, and handling materials. This position requires physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a production environment.
Responsibilities
• Prepare materials for shipping while adhering to specifications and deadlines.
• Clean parts by sanding to remove excess welds and ensure a quality finish.
• Package steel components and provide support to various operational sectors.
• Operate the overhead crane to safely move heavy materials.
• Perform handling tasks to supply workstations with necessary tools and materials.
• Assist in assembling prefabricated components according to provided instructions.
• Inspect parts and materials to identify defects or non-conformities before shipping.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety standards.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to solve issues and ensure smooth production processes.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a production environment or construction industry (an asset).
• Good physical condition to perform tasks requiring strength and endurance.
• Ability to use manual and power tools such as sanders, hammers, and others.
• Certification or experience in operating overhead cranes (an asset).
