Description
The Underground Infrastructure Rehabilitation Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating underground infrastructure rehabilitation work, using techniques such as spraying concrete, epoxy and polyurea. He ensures the effective management of teams in the field and ensures that projects are carried out according to established quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
• Supervise field work teams, including workers specializing in the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure.
• Plan and organize rehabilitation operations, taking into account timelines, available resources and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards on site and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with engineers and other professionals to interpret project plans and specifications.
• Manage water to dry out structures.
• Clean, seal, inject and concrete the structures to be rehabilitated.
• Supervise the installation and application of rehabilitation materials such as shotcrete, epoxy and polyurea.
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure quality of work and resolve any problems on site.
• Manage site reports and keep documentation relating to the work carried out up to date.
• Train and coach team members to improve their technical skills and effectiveness in the field.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure availability of necessary materials and equipment.
• Ensure communication with customers to address their concerns and maintain a positive relationship.
Requirements
• Experience as a foreman or supervisor on underground infrastructure rehabilitation projects, an asset.
• Experience in sewer aqueduct, clogging, injection and/or rehabilitation, an asset.
• Leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team in the field.
• Good understanding of safety and quality standards in the construction field.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, customers and other stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required by the company.
