Description
The Civil Engineering Site Assistant plays a crucial role in the operational and administrative support of civil engineering sites. This professional assists site managers and project engineers in the coordination of activities in the field, the management of human and material resources, as well as the monitoring of operations to ensure the smooth running of projects while respecting deadlines and standards. quality.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Site Manager and Foremen in coordinating and planning site activities, ensuring that necessary resources are available in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors and suppliers on site, ensuring work is performed in accordance with project specifications and established quality standards.
• Monitor the progress of work in the field, carrying out regular inspections to identify potential problems, delays or non-compliances, and proposing solutions to remedy them.
• Manage human resources on site, including coordinating teams of workers, distributing tasks and managing work schedules.
• Assist in the drafting of site monitoring reports, work progress reports and incident reports, collecting relevant information and transmitting it to the relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with health and safety rules and procedures on site, ensuring that all workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment and that safe practices are followed .
• Manage site documents and records, ensuring plans, specifications, permits and other essential documents are available and up to date.
• Assist in the coordination of site meetings, preparing the agenda, taking notes and distributing minutes to project team members.

Requirements
• Degree in civil engineering, building engineering or in a related field.
• Experience in a similar role in the construction and civil engineering industry an asset.
