Description
As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that the estimates reflect the actual costs associated with project execution. Responsibilities:
Plan and Specification Analysis:
• Thoroughly review architectural plans, technical specifications, and contractual documents.
• Identify key project elements, specific requirements, and potential challenges.
Cost Estimation:
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment costs for each phase of the project.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
Risk Analysis:
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with the project.
• Propose solutions to minimize risks and associated costs.
Market Trends Monitoring:
• Stay informed about construction market trends, material cost fluctuations, and regulatory developments.
Collaboration with Project Team:
• Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with client and project objectives.
• Participate in project planning and progress meetings.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare detailed reports on estimates, providing clear explanations of projected costs.
• Maintain accurate records of all information related to estimates.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, diploma in architecture, or a related field.
• Demonstrated professional experience as a construction estimator.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and techniques.
• Proficiency in estimation software such as ProEst, HeavyBid, or equivalents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
