Description
The Electrical Projects Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of electrical projects, covering a wide range of sectors such as residential, commercial, institutional and industrial. This role involves effectively managing field teams, strategic project planning, and maintaining high quality standards while meeting deadlines and budgets.
Responsibilities
• Plan and organize electrical construction activities according to established deadlines. Coordinate the human, material and logistical resources necessary to carry out projects.
• Supervise and direct field teams to ensure effective execution of tasks. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement appropriate solutions. Ensure communication and coordination with other project stakeholders.
• Ensure that all activities on site comply with current safety standards. Implement appropriate security protocols and train team members on security best practices.
• Guarantee that electrical work meets quality standards and current regulations. Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Manage budgets allocated to projects, monitoring expenses and controlling costs. Identify savings opportunities and optimize the use of available resources.
• Develop measurement tools to monitor work performance and take corrective action if necessary.
• Ensure effective communication with customers to understand their needs and expectations. Provide regular updates on project progress and respond to customer questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including progress reports, time sheets, expenses, and changes to the project. Prepare final project documentation for delivery to the client.
Requirements
• Degree in electricity, or in a related field.
• Hold an valid electrician skills card.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electricity field, with significant experience in project supervision, an asset.
• Thorough knowledge of provincial electrical codes and electrical safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mastery of IT tools and project management software.
