Description
The Geomatic Surveyor is a geomatics professional, a measurement expert who carries out surveys in order to establish and supervise topographical surveys. In addition, he or she participates in the preparation of documents related to these surveys, either for plans or sectional views, and participates in the drafting of minutes attesting to the validity of the documents.
Responsibilities
• Determine the methods, technological approaches and work instruments to be preferred for carrying out the work.
• Get involved in the different stages of a project, such as technical preparation, logistics and calculations.
• If required, get involved in starting the project on the ground.
• Check the quality of the product at each stage of carrying out the mandate.
• Certify the data of the various lifts carried out and assume responsibility for them.
• Follow up on files with clients and stakeholders involved.
• Understand and evaluate customer needs, in order to best advise them in carrying out their projects.
• Analyze and interpret plans made by different professionals (architect's plans, contractor's plans, municipal plans, etc.).
• Check and interpret various municipal regulations and property titles.
• Prepare, verify, calculate and analyze various survey plans.
• Prepare an expert report.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians.
• Perform any other related task.
Requirements
• Experience in a similar position (asset)
• Bachelor's degree in geomatics or equivalent university degree.
• Developed interest in the scientific aspect of the profession.
• Good knowledge of work tools and software such as AutoCad.
• Interest in working within a multidisciplinary team called upon to deal with geodesy, LiDAR surveys, photogrammetry, technical surveys, 3D scanning, bathymetric surveys, land surveying, etc.
• Autonomous and committed leader.
• Manage priorities and deadlines masterfully and carry out your work with integrity while respecting the laws of the profession.
