Description

The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing strategic and operational support in all aspects of human resources within the company. It plays a vital role in recruiting, retaining, developing and managing talent to ensure the long-term success of the organization.

Responsibilities

    Manage the recruitment process, from writing job descriptions to candidate selection, ensuring that qualified talent is attracted and retained for open positions within the company.
    Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees by providing adequate orientation, familiarizing them with the company culture, policies and procedures, as well as ensuring a smooth transition into their new roles.
    Collaborate with managers to establish clear performance objectives, monitor and evaluate employee performance, and provide support and guidance to resolve performance issues as needed.
    Identify employee development needs, design and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
    Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, provide problem-solving, conflict and interpersonal support, and promote a respectful and inclusive work environment.
    Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements and internal company policies relating to employment, remuneration, occupational health and safety, and human rights.
    Manage administrative processes related to human resources, including maintaining employee records, managing schedules, leave, benefits and complaints.
    Facilitate internal communication by disseminating relevant information to employees, organizing staff meetings and events, and fostering a transparent and open company culture.

Requirements

    Degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field.
    Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry or related environment, an asset.
    In-depth knowledge of labor laws, safety standards and human resources management practices in Quebec.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
    Ability to build trusting relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and human resources management software.
    Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and to travel as needed.
    Enjoy working in a team.
    Good adaptability, able to accomplish various simultaneous tasks.
    Good sense of initiative, autonomous in his tasks.
    Demonstrate professional rigor, thoroughness and confidentiality.
