Description
The Landscaping Foreman works within a company specializing in landscaping work for residential, commercial, institutional, and other projects. He assumes a work supervision role while actively participating in manual work on construction sites.
Responsibilities
• Supervise teams of workers and landscapers on construction sites, ensuring that work is carried out according to quality standards, scheduled deadlines and project specifications.
• Plan and organize landscaping activities based on client needs and site characteristics.
• Ensure coordination of various aspects of projects, including land preparation, planting, paving, installation of irrigation systems, and others.
• Supervise your team and subcontractors to ensure the quality of the work and the safety of the site.
• Actively participate in work on construction sites, carrying out manual tasks such as soil preparation, planting, laying materials, pruning plants, and others.
• Ensure that safety standards are respected at all times on construction sites, by training team members and applying established safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with plans and customer expectations.
• Manage material and human resources on construction sites, by coordinating material deliveries, planning work schedules, and assigning tasks to team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, landscape architects, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of work and meet client needs.
• Maintain a positive work climate and promote team spirit within the landscaping team.
Requirements
• Experience in the field of landscaping.
• Experience supervising teams on landscaping or construction sites.
• Strong manual skills and aptitude for physical work, with the ability to perform manual tasks on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical diagrams related to landscaping, have a good overall vision of a project.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to job sites according to business needs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with applicable regulations in the landscaping industry.
