Description

The Thermal Insulation Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating thermal insulation projects for tanks, piping, and ventilation ducts in the field of building mechanics. They work on commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects, ensuring that quality standards and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

    Plan, organize, and coordinate thermal insulation projects, ensuring effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
    Evaluate thermal insulation needs based on project specifications, taking into account technical requirements and industry standards.
    Develop plans and estimates for thermal insulation projects, detailing required materials, installation methods, and associated costs.
    Plan supply negotiations and deliveries to various sites.
    Procure materials for factory and site (assist in developing the materials list for site connections).
    Supervise work execution on site, ensuring that quality and safety standards are met.
    Document and maintain all project records.
    Manage the project budget, controlling costs and making adjustments as necessary to meet financial objectives.
    Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving potential issues that may arise along the way.
    Diagnose and communicate any obstacles to achieving objectives.
    Collaborate with other company departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of thermal insulation work into the overall project.
    Assist project management with subcontractors, employees, and clients on technical matters.
    Provide high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries, offering technical advice, and resolving client issues.

Requirements

    Degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical building services, plumbing, or related field, an asset.
    Experience in thermal insulation, plumbing, mechanical building services, ventilation, or similar construction projects.
    Knowledge of thermal insulation materials, installation techniques, and industry standards, an asset.
    Project management skills, including planning, organization, and coordination of activities.
    Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem-solving abilities.
    Attention to detail and results-oriented, with a commitment to excellence in project execution.
    Proficiency in relevant computer software, such as project management tools and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
