Description
The Tinsmith Foreman works within a company specializing in ventilation, air conditioning and heating for residential, commercial, institutional and/or industrial projects. He assumes a role of supervising tinsmith work while actively participating in tasks on construction sites.
Responsibilities
• Supervise teams of tinsmiths on construction sites, ensuring that work is carried out according to quality standards, planned deadlines and project specifications.
• Plan and organize tinsmithing activities according to customer needs and the characteristics of the ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems.
• Ensure the coordination of the different aspects of tinsmithing projects.
• Actively participate in tinsmithing work on construction sites, carrying out tasks such as measuring, cutting, bending, welding and installing conduits and materials.
• Ensure that safety standards are respected at all times on construction sites, by training team members and applying established safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with plans and customer expectations.
• Manage material and human resources on construction sites, by coordinating material deliveries, planning work schedules, and assigning tasks to team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of work and meet client needs.
• Maintain a positive work climate and promote team spirit within the tinsmith team.
Requirements
• Degree in Tinsmithing or relevant experience.
• Hold a valid certification for your occupation.
• Certification in health and safety on construction sites.
• Previous experience in the field of tinsmithing, with a good knowledge of the techniques and practices of manufacturing and installation of ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems.
• Experience supervising teams on tinsmithing sites.
• Strong manual skills and aptitude for physical work, with the ability to carry out tinsmithing tasks on construction sites.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in tinsmithing work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and diagrams related to tinsmithing.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to job sites according to business needs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with current regulations in the tinsmith industry.
