Description
The Roller Operator is responsible for carrying out the asphalt compaction work. In daily tasks, he operates the different types of compactor rollers and must obtain the compaction percentages requested in the project plans and specifications. The operator must work in collaboration with the various stakeholders and in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
• Carry out compaction in collaboration with the foreman and the site technician.
• Ensure the quality of the works and compliance with the requirements of the plans and specifications.
• Prepare and grease the roller.
• Operate a roller, road roller or compactor.
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the rollers.
• All other tasks related to the job.
Requirements
• Hold a certificate of competence.
• Experience in a similar position, an asset.
• Having experience in the field of bituminous coatings, an asset.
• Be concerned about health and safety at work
• Have good physical condition.
• Have the ability to work alone and in a team.
• Be autonomous, disciplined, responsible and meticulous.
