Role Overview
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support senior Project Managers and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to keep projects on schedule, within budget and aligned with scope and safety standards. You’ll be based in our Waterloo office, coordinating everything from bids to close‑out.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with tender and contract preparation; assemble bids and track pricing requests
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners, maintaining clear and timely communication
• Join client meetings to ensure requirements are understood and met; manage post‑sale to pre‑installation handovers
• Identify project milestones and monitor timelines and budgets, making adjustments to honour contract terms
• Organize on‑site logistics: site visits, deliveries, tools, equipment and installation schedules
• Secure necessary permits, licences and project documentation
• Prepare, maintain and distribute project documents (meeting minutes, RFIs, change orders, site instructions)
• Conduct quality‑assurance checks to verify compliance with standards
• Compile and deliver progress reports and manage the project close‑out process
• Perform additional duties as required to support project success
Who You Are
• Highly organized, with the ability to pivot and reprioritize under shifting deadlines
• Experienced reading blueprints, schematics and field drawings
• A strong communicator, problem‑solver and negotiator
• A collaborative team player who can also work independently
• Results‑driven, able to juggle multiple priorities and resolve conflicts effectively
• Knowledgeable about local, provincial and federal compliance regulations
