Description
As a BIM Coordinator (Building Information Modeling), you play an essential role in managing and coordinating processes related to building information modeling. You are responsible for implementing and overseeing BIM projects, ensuring models are accurate, consistent and compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
• Develop BIM implementation plans for construction projects, in collaboration with design and construction teams.
• Oversee the implementation of BIM processes on construction sites, ensuring that objectives are achieved on time and on budget.
• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of BIM processes across projects, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure the compatibility and interoperability of models between the different project stakeholders.
• Perform regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and correct potential conflicts or inconsistencies in models.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate BIM models into the design and construction process.
• Collaborate with the BIM manager and the project team to carry out projects.
• Ensure the integrity and quality of models according to good BIM practices and specific customer requirements.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between the various project stakeholders.
• Provide training and technical support to team members on the use of BIM software and best practices.
• Assist users in resolving technical issues related to BIM models.
Requirements
• Degree in architecture, engineering or a related field, preferably with BIM certification.
• Demonstrated experience in BIM coordination in the construction sector, an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of BIM software, such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Advanced communication and project management skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• In-depth knowledge of BIM processes and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate complex BIM projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
