Description
The Carpenter Foreman participates in the implementation and management of new construction and renovation sites, residential, multi-residential, commercial, public and/or industrial.
Responsibilities
• Develop effective plans for the entire construction team.
• Ensure complete supervision of operations on construction sites.
• Coordinate, control and direct work teams through the different stages of completion.
• Plan and calculate the labor, tools, equipment and materials needed to complete the work
• Strictly apply laws and regulations relating to health and safety on construction sites.
• Interact with the various participants on the site, including the client, the project manager, suppliers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Perform daily reports.
• Manage site logistics, including equipment and material orders.
• Make the link between management, subcontractors, clients and the professionals involved.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety instructions on the construction site.
• Work outdoors, whatever the weather conditions.
• Participate in work, as needed.
• Perform any other related task.
Requirements
• Experience in a similar role.
• Journeyman Carpentery studies (asset)
• Journeyman Carpentery qualification card.
• Strong carpentry experience to ensure quality work
• Good computer skills (asset).
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driving license.
