Description
The Caulker and Sealant Applicator is responsible for ensuring the waterproofing of residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings by applying various waterproofing materials. This professional plays a crucial role in protecting structures from water infiltration, drafts and thermal energy loss, helping to maintain a comfortable and energy-efficient indoor environment.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the site by installing scaffolding, securing work areas and protecting adjacent surfaces.
• Apply sealants, mastics, liquid sealants and other materials according to manufacturer's specifications and proper work methods.
• Identify and repair defects in existing sealing systems, such as cracks and faulty joints.
• Work at height on scaffolding or lifting platforms to access work areas safely.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations in force regarding construction and installation of waterproofing materials.
Requirements
• Experience in caulking, an asset.
• Ability to learn and/or improve your caulking skills.
• Comfortable with all types of sealers and application techniques recommended by the industry, an asset.
• Ability to work at height (ladder, basket, scaffolding, etc.).
• Punctual and reliable.
• Good physical condition.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• The ability to work in a team.
• Able to work outdoors, exposed to bad weather.
• Valid driving license.
