Description
The Chief Human Resources Officer is responsible for directing and supervising all human resources activities within the company. He plays a strategic role in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs to support organizational objectives, while ensuring that a respectful, inclusive and productive work environment is promoted.
The Chief Human Resources Officer occupies a key position within the company, leading strategic human resources management initiatives to support the growth, development and long-term success of the organization.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a global human resources management strategy aligned with business objectives and corporate culture.
• Analyze the company's current HR programs, processes and systems to optimize and automate them where possible.
• Exercise an advisory and support role for managers on all human resources management relations issues.
• Oversee recruitment and selection activities to ensure the company has a qualified and diverse workforce to meet its operational needs.
• Develop and implement innovative recruitment methods to meet labor needs.
• Oversee the management of personnel records, including work schedules, attendance, leave and performance evaluations.
• Design and implement organizational development programs aimed at strengthening skills, fostering professional growth and promoting leadership at all levels of the organization.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with unions, where appropriate, and work with employee representatives to resolve problems and prevent conflicts.
• Ensure that all human resources management policies and practices comply with applicable labor laws, collective agreements and safety standards.
• Oversee workplace health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment that meets regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance at all levels of the organization.
• Facilitate internal communication by disseminating relevant information to employees, organizing staff meetings and events, and fostering a transparent and open company culture.
• Lead and support change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition during reorganizations, mergers or other major changes within the company.
Requirements
• Degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field.
• Significant experience in a human resources management role, preferably in the construction industry or a related sector, an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, safety standards and human resources management practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective human resources strategies to support business objectives.
• Experience in managing organizational change projects and leading change.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and make strategic decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Good knowledge of IT tools and human resources management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enjoy working in a team.
• Good adaptability, able to accomplish various simultaneous tasks.
• Good sense of initiative, autonomous in his tasks.
• Demonstrate professional rigor, thoroughness and confidentiality.
