Description
The Demolition Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating demolition and dismantling activities on building and civil engineering sites. This professional plays a key role in the planning, organization and safe execution of demolition projects, ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently and in compliance with current safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise co-workers.
• Manage project schedule.
• Manage client expectations.
• Follow company direction on Policies and Procedures.
• Transport tools and equipment to site when required.
• Plan and organize demolition operations, including the allocation of necessary human and material resources.
• Coordinate activities with other teams on site to ensure efficient execution of work.
• Supervise workers on site to ensure they follow established safety procedures and work methods.
• Provide clear guidelines and instructions to team members to ensure work quality and efficiency.
• Supervise the handling, sorting and disposal of demolition materials, including coordination with recycling and waste disposal companies.
• Ensure that demolition operations are carried out in an environmentally friendly manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards on the construction site by implementing accident prevention measures and emergency procedures.
• Perform regular inspections to identify and eliminate potential hazards on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of work.
• Prepare regular reports on the progress of projects and problems encountered.
Requirements
• Previous experience in demolition or similar position, with supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of demolition techniques, equipment and materials used.
• Certification in health and safety on construction sites, an asset.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
