Description
The Engineer - Building Structure is responsible for designing, analyzing and evaluating the structural stability of buildings. As a structural expert, you work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure the safety, durability and performance of structures for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects, all ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
The position consists of, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
• Design building structures using structural modeling and analysis software.
• Perform load calculations, stress analyzes and simulations to ensure the stability and strength of structures.
• Collaborate with architects, other engineers and clients to integrate structural requirements into the overall project design.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and technical specifications.
• Supervise construction phases to ensure compliance with standards and plans.
• Conduct site inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and make recommendations.
• Stay informed of technological advances and new methodologies in the field of structural engineering
Requirements
• Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant field and and have a recognized engineering license.
• Professional experience in design and analysis of building structures.
• Mastery of structural modeling and analysis software.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to write structured reports and recommendations.
