Description
As an Exterior Cladding Estimator, you play a key role in the preparation and evaluation of costs for exterior cladding projects, thus contributing to the success of various projects in the residential, commercial, industrial and institutional sectors. You must analyze the costs of materials, labor and equipment based on plans, bids and quotes provided by customers.
Responsibilities
• Review plans and specifications for exterior cladding projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess specific needs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment.
• Use specialized software to develop quotes.
• Solicit quotes from material suppliers and negotiate prices.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure availability of materials.
• Prepare detailed quotes for clients, including costs and deadlines.
• Present estimates to clients in a clear and concise manner.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure consistency between estimates and final plans.
• Participate in project planning and monitoring meetings.
Requirements
• Training in estimation and evaluation in building, architecture or related field, an asset.
• Prior experience in estimation in the field of exterior cladding, an asset
• Ability to manage multiple files at the same time.
• In-depth knowledge of exterior cladding materials and installation techniques an asset.
• Knowledge of estimation and project management software, an asset.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).
