Description
The Industrial Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising activities related to the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. He plays an essential role in coordinating teams, managing construction sites and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise teams of electricians on job sites, assigning tasks, providing instructions and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with the project management team to plan electrical work, defining timelines, required resources and implementation steps.
• Coordinate the activities of the electrician teams with other trades on the site, ensuring that the work proceeds efficiently and smoothly.
• Ensure the availability and management of materials and equipment necessary to carry out electrical work, by placing orders and supervising deliveries.
• Monitor the quality of work carried out, carrying out regular inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Ensure that all electrical activities are carried out in compliance with current safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks on site.
• Maintain site documentation, including progress reports, quantity records, lists of materials used and employee work hours.
• Ensure effective communication with the project management team, subcontractors, suppliers and customers, conveying relevant information and responding to inquiries.
Requirements
• Relevant electrical degree.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction and civil engineering industry, an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and technical specifications.
• Leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work on different job sites and availability to work around project schedules, including overtime if necessary.
