Description
The Infrastructure Designer is responsible for the creation and design of technical drawings and detailed plans for urban infrastructure projects. This role involves working closely with engineers and architects to translate their concepts into precise and functional drawings, thereby contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
• Create technical drawings and detailed plans for urban infrastructure projects, including road networks, sewer networks, waterworks, roads, drainage, etc.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate, industry-standard drawings.
• Work closely with engineers, architects and other project team members to understand project requirements and translate concepts into technical drawings.
• Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to project design and planning discussions.
• Analyze existing plans, topographical data and field surveys to evaluate design constraints and opportunities.
• Propose creative and innovative solutions to meet project needs and regulatory requirements.
• Perform checks and reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Track changes to drawings in response to stakeholder comments and project requirements.
Requirements
• Degree in civil engineering technology, building design or a related field.
• Previous experience as an infrastructure designer, preferably in the field of urban and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit.
• Knowledge of construction standards and codes applicable to urban infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in French.
