Description
The Inside Sales Representative - Construction plays an essential role in business development for a contractor, manufacturer or distributor in the construction sector. This professional is responsible for supporting the outside sales team and contributing to sales growth by providing quality customer service and meeting customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the outside sales team to support their prospecting, sales tracking and customer service efforts.
• Respond to telephone calls, emails and online inquiries from customers regarding products, pricing, availability and delivery times.
• Prepare quotes and submissions for clients, taking into account their specific needs and agreed commercial terms.
• Process customer orders, ensuring they are entered accurately and fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Ensure regular follow-up with customers to ensure their satisfaction, identify new business opportunities and guarantee customer loyalty.
• Provide basic technical support to customers by answering their questions about products, technical specifications and installation instructions.
• Coordinate product deliveries with customers, carriers and warehouses, ensuring effective tracking and resolving logistics issues.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure availability of products in stock, monitoring stock levels and placing additional orders as needed.
Requirements
• Training in sales, commerce, or other related field, an asset.
• Experience in selling construction products and/or services, preferably as an inside sales representative, technical advisor or customer service advisor, an asset.
• Knowledge of the construction sector, construction products and services, and sales processes, an asset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time and priorities effectively.
• Comfortable with office software and customer relationship management (CRM), purchasing, inventory and other related software.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
