Description
As a Site Superintendent - Concrete, you will be responsible for overseeing the concrete construction activities on residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, and the ability to effectively manage construction sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement construction plans and schedules for concrete works in coordination with the project manager.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of concrete-related activities.
• Supervise and direct the work of concrete crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor the progress of concrete works, identify issues or obstacles, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Conduct regular inspections of concrete installations to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and ensure high-quality concrete finishes.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site to maintain a safe working environment for all workers.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to provide updates on project progress and address concerns.
• Prepare and submit daily reports, progress reports, and other documentation as required by the project manager.
Requirements
• Experience in concrete construction, with few years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire construction crews.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a hands-on capacity.
• Familiarity with managing sub trades and coordinating on-site activities.
