Description

The Electrical Foreman plays an essential role in supervising and coordinating electrical work on various types of projects, whether residential, commercial, institutional or industrial. This professional is responsible for leading teams in the field, planning electrical activities and ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with quality and safety standards and on time.

Responsibilities

    Lead, supervise and coordinate teams of electricians in the field. Assign tasks and ensure team members clearly understand their responsibilities.
    Develop detailed work plans for electrical projects, taking into account timelines, available resources and client requirements. Ensure efficient distribution of human and material resources.
    Ensure that electrical work is carried out in accordance with quality standards and project specifications. Carry out regular inspections to identify and correct any defects.
    Promote a safe working environment by applying safety best practices. Make team members aware of potential risks and prevention measures.
    Collaborate with other foremen and trades on the site to ensure effective coordination of the work. Ensure that electrical work integrates harmoniously with other aspects of the project.
    Ensure clear and consistent communication with team members, supervisors, customers and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on work progress and respond to stakeholder concerns or questions.
    Maintain accurate records of activities and resources used on site. Prepare progress reports and documents required for invoicing and project documentation.

Requirements

    Degree in electricity or a related field, an asset.
    Hold an electrician skills card.
    Experience in a residential, multi-residential, commercial, institutional or industrial environment is an asset.
    Experience in team management and problem solving
    Experience in the field of electricity, with significant experience in site supervision.
    Thorough knowledge of provincial electrical codes and electrical safety standards.
    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
    Good planning and organizational skills.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Mastery of IT tools and project management software.
