Description
Paving laborer are an integral part of the teams responsible for carrying out various paving projects. You will work under the supervision of the site team and will contribute to the construction and maintenance of road surfaces (rural, urban, municipal and provincial).
Responsibilities
• Scrape.
• Shovel.
• Pass the vibrating plate.
• Assist trucks with unloading.
• Check slopes (water flow)
• Make the screw (paver).
• Working on a VTM (material transfer vehicle or “shuttle buggy”)
• All other related tasks necessary for the work
Other possible responsibilities
• Assist machine operators in site preparation prior to paving work.
• Participate in the installation of curbs and gutters.
• Prepare surfaces by removing debris, vegetation and existing materials.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the site and the safety of workers.
Requirements
• Have good physical capacity.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, motivation and willingness to learn.
• Be autonomous and responsible.
• Have initiative
• Have a good ability to work in a team
• Compliance with safety standards on construction sites.
• Valid driver's license an asset.
