Description
The Plasterer plays a crucial role in a construction company by preparing and applying plaster to walls, ceilings and other interior surfaces of buildings. Its work contributes to the creation of a smooth and uniform surface, essential for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects.
Plasterers apply limestone coatings using a trowel or machine, such as plaster, celanity, mortar, cement, metallic composition, stucco or other substitutes; fix the stop moldings for metal corners (chamfers) or others, and the accessories related to this work; pull and fill the joints of gypsum wall boards and carry out plaster molding work and pour and install ornaments.
Responsibilities
• Mix the plaster according to project specifications and apply it evenly to walls, ceilings and other surfaces using appropriate tools.
• Smooth and shape the plaster to an even finish, using smoothing and leveling techniques.
• Install trim such as metal corners to reinforce the edges and ensure a clean finish.
• Carry out repairs and touch-ups to existing plastered surfaces, filling cracks and sanding surfaces to a perfect finish.
• Clean and maintain work tools and equipment after each use, ensuring their proper functioning.
• Collaborate with other craftsmen on site to ensure effective coordination of tasks and work.
Requirements
• Certification or professional training in plastering.
• Previous experience as a plasterer, in different types of renovation and construction projects, such as residential, commercial, institutional or industrial.
• Certification in health and safety on construction sites is an advantage.
• Knowledge of plastering materials and techniques.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Good physical condition to withstand manual work and travel to construction sites.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work.
• Compliance with safety standards on construction sites.
