Description
The Project Manager - Ventilation is responsible for the management and coordination of ventilation projects in various sectors, including residential, commercial, institutional and/or industrial. This role involves overseeing the entire process, from initial design to final delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to required specifications.
Responsibilities
• Analyze customer ventilation needs and develop effective and cost-effective solutions.
• Plan and coordinate the various phases of ventilation projects, including design, material procurement, labor and installation.
• Collaborate with ventilation engineers and other team members to develop detailed plans that comply with current standards and regulations.
• Manage submissions and tenders, including selection of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, while maintaining good relationships with them.
• Supervise field work to ensure projects progress according to established schedule and budget.
• Manage budgets and optimize resources.
• Ensure regular communication with clients to keep them informed of the progress of projects and respond to their concerns.
• Manage potential issues and challenges that arise during the duration of projects, proposing suitable solutions.
• Ensure that safety standards are respected on all ventilation sites.
Requirements
• Degree in building mechanics, mechanical engineering, building engineering or a related field.
• Experience in managing ventilation projects, preferably in the residential, commercial, institutional or industrial sectors, an asset.
• Knowledge of building codes and ventilation standards and regulations.
• Skills in reading ventilation system plans.
• Project management skills, including planning, organizing and resource management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication skills.
• Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and project management tools.
• Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in complex situations.
