Description
The Tinsmith Foreman (coating) works within a company specializing in exterior cladding for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects. In addition to supervising tinsmithing work, he is also responsible for coordinating coating projects and carrying out tinsmithing work on construction sites.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead teams of tinsmiths on construction sites, ensuring that work is carried out according to quality standards and project specifications.
• Plan and organize exterior cladding activities based on project requirements, including material selection, surface preparation and coating installation.
• Coordinate tinsmithing work required to prepare surfaces, including the fabrication and installation of metal siding, soffits, gutters and other finishing elements.
• Ensure the management of material and human resources on construction sites, by planning work schedules, coordinating material deliveries and assigning tasks to team members.
• Actively participate in tinsmithing and exterior cladding work on construction sites, carrying out tasks such as cutting, folding, assembly and installation of materials.
• Ensure that safety standards are respected at all times on construction sites, by applying established safety procedures and ensuring the training of team members.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with plans and customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, architects and other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of work and meet client needs.
• Maintain a positive work climate and promote team spirit within the tinsmithing and coating team.
Requirements
• Degree in Tinsmithing or relevant experience.
• Hold a valid certification for your occupation.
• Certification in health and safety on construction sites.
• Previous experience in the field of tinsmithing and exterior cladding, with good knowledge of the techniques and practices of manufacturing and installing cladding materials.
• Demonstrated experience supervising teams on tinsmithing and exterior cladding sites.
• Strong manual skills and aptitude for physical work, with the ability to carry out tinsmithing and coating tasks on construction sites.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in tinsmithing and exterior cladding work.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical diagrams related to exterior cladding.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel to job sites according to business needs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with current industry regulations.
